the road ahead…..

herstel gaat langzaam….

The camera hasn’t been out of it’s case in the last weeks. I was too ill to do anything. And even the hospital couldn’t inspire me….

recovery takes time

in de tussentijd een passende song…. the road ahead, van City to City….

in the meantime a song that suits me: the road ahead, by City to City

The road ahead is empty
It’s paved, with miles of the unknown
Whatever seems to be your destination
Take life the way it comes, take life the way it is

Horizon in the distance
So close, and yet so far away
You shouldn’t be surprised when on arrival
The dream has flown away
And fear is not here to stay

The road ahead never gives away a promise
The road ahead is a highway or a dead-end street
A dead-end street

Raindrops on your windscreen
They fall from heaven or from hell
You drive into the light or into darkness
Incertainty as your guide

The road ahead never gives away a promise
The road ahead is a highway or a dead-end street
The road ahead never answers any questions
And nothing is sure along the way, not even tomorrow
With miles of the unknown ahead of you

The road ahead is empty
It’s paved, with miles of the unknown
Whatever seems to be your destination
Take life the way it comes, take life the way it is

Gelukkig Nieuwjaar! Happy New Year!

January – in our part of the world the trees have lost their leaves. Like the New Year is bare. But the silhouette has its own beauty!

The pollard willows don’t have branches anymore. See http://wp.me/p1LLhQ-5d to see how they look like with branches. The farmers cut the branches because they might be too heavy for the tree when snow and ice will fall down on them. In spring they will come out again!
Sometimes it’s necessary to leave lumber behind to prevent you from collapsing and give new things a chance!
